Final Fantasy IX heading to mobile and PC

To end the new year, Square Enix released a new trailer announcing that Final Fantasy IX would be arriving on PC and smartphones sometime in 2016 in Japan.

The PC/smartphone port of Final Fantasy IX will see a few changes that will include high-definition graphics, an enhanced battle interface, auto-save, high-speed mode, added achievements and a few game-boosting features (which possibly means pay to power up DLC).

No Western release date has been announced for FFIX, but it will eventually make its way to at least Steam, seeing as Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy XIII have already been available for some time. FFIX was the last Final Fantasy title released for the original PlayStation system.
