Mark Hamill will debunk fake signature for fans on Twitter

1366633373590138259Buying signed items off the internet is always a gamble. Whether it’s on eBay or on some collectibles site, there is no shortage of ways that you can get scammed on the internet. Thankfully for fans of Jedi Master Luke Skywalker, Mark Hamill will verify if his signature is legit or not on his Twitter account. Hamill is well known for his outlandish remarks he makes on items he signs, but he also has one of the hardest signatures to duplicate.

When asked why he takes the time to verify his autographs, Mark Hamill said, “because I owe it to all true fans to protect them from being victimised by dishonest dealers.” Since he doesn’t want to have to reply to every single tweet asking to verify his signature, Mark says that you can tweet a photo of the signature at him and if he likes the picture the autograph is authentic.
