Previously it was announced that Wizard World would be working on video game conventions across the nation, with the first one being Wizard World Gaming Atlanta from January 22-24 in 2016. Well, that plan was canceled quickly. There is good news. It will be moved and attached to Wizard World Comic Con Portland from February 19-21. The Atlanta tickets are being refunded for those who went the pre-sale route.

“Wizard World is committed to producing the best possible shows for the gaming community, and ensuring that we achieve our goal of providing a true gaming experience for our fans,” said Wizard World CEO John Macaluso. “In planning the debut of Wizard World Gaming, it became evident that we would not have enough time to put on a high-quality show in Atlanta. We are confident and excited in making Portland the launch of our gaming series.”

There will be more gaming shows held throughout the year, and each one will be attached to a Wizard World Comic Con. After Portland, Wizard World Gaming will be attached to June’s St Louis, May’s Minneapolis, June’s Philadelphia and Sacramento, July’s Columbus, August’s Orlando and Chicago and September’s Austin.

If you get the Comic Con pass, you’ll have access to the gaming section. However, if you just want to participate in the gaming area, you can purchase just the gaming pass.
