Check out Comikaze Expo 2015 photos and music video

This past weekend marked the end of my con season, and I ended it with Stan Lee’s Comikaze Expo. Sure there are some smaller cons around my area going on, but I will be using this time to rest up and prepare for the next con season. As usual Comikaze has brought out numerous amounts of people and with timing it during Holloween, it brought out quite a lot of cosplayers from kids to adults. Cosplaying does not have an age; though some do not consider themselves cosplayers, just people dressing up for Halloween. (I just lumped them in.) The costumes ranged from the normal genres: comics, movies, animes, mangas, and horror – all the way to the things we eat had someone dressing up as them. There was a handful of bananas and 1 beet. It is safe to say that if you can wear it, it was probably worn during Comikaze/Halloween day.

This year was a bit different, though. They split the con between two halls, small section of South Hall and the main floor of West hall. It was a weird way to do a con, but I guess it had to do with another convention happening the following week that caused the split, and the preparations needed to be done a week before the actual con happened. It caused a few con-goers some headaches as they thought the convention was shrunk down to that small section in the South Hall. Luckily, the staff was very helpful on showing where the people can go to enjoy the con at its fullest. Another thing that was cooperative to the con-goers was the weather; it was just right for those in full gear. Last year’s weather was not as cosplay/costume friendly. The one good thing that came from the split location was the massive space people had to shoot a video and take pictures without bumping into each other too much.

It was a busy day for us here at Nerd Reactor since we were focused on bringing you some fun entertainment. We were filming the entire time we were there and even past closing just so we can bring you quality videos. Thanks to all cosplayers who partook in our video and made it great. So if you were at the convention and you see yourself in the photos, please feel free to drop us a line and share your picture.

Please take a look and enjoy the cosplayers of Comikaze. We will see you all at next year’s Stan Lee’s Comikaze.
