Satechi’s Wireless Gamepad out now for your mobile gaming needs


Today, Satechi launched their newest gamepad for mobile gaming. The controller is wireless via Bluetooth and works with iOS, Android and Windows devices.

Satechi claims this is the ideal accessory for mobile gamers as “[The Satechi Wireless Gamepad] gives users the traditional gaming experience they crave with out the hassle of cumbersome or inaccurate touchscreen controls.”

The gamepad has a total of 14 buttons, 2 joysticks, and a directional pad. The layout of the buttons looks very similar to an Xbox One controller, though it differs in a few areas. It also features an integrated phone holder so your phone can be in a convenient location and at an optimal viewing angle. When you want to use it on a tablet, the holder stores inside the controller.

The gamepad features 3 different playing modes depending on the device you are using: iCade for iOS, Android/Mouse Mode for Android users, and Joystick Mode for Windows.

In iCade Mode, iOS users and use the controller with any of the iCade classic games such as PAC-MAN while also having the ability to play more modern games. Users can search for “iCade” in the App Store for all available games.

Android/Mouse Mode allows Android users to play compatible games from the Google Play Store. Choices range from Angry Birds to N64 Emulator to Grand Theft Auto 3.

Joystick Mode gives Windows users the ability to use the controller with gaming services such as Steam and play games like Dota, Metal Gear Solid V, Fallout 4 and many more.
