Vin Diesel once again teases Black Bolt for the ‘Inhumans’

With all the hoopla about whether or not Marvel’s Inhumans movie is going to be made, comes news that Marvel has approached Vin Diesel to play another Marvel character that “doesn’t have [his] voice.” As he tells io9, “I can totally be something [else] with Marvel, I think playing that role only makes Marvel that much more excited and me having my experience with Marvel, seeing how great they were, makes me more excited.”

So how can Vin Diesel, the voice of Groot, play another Marvel character?

“We’ve heard a lot of talk about Marvel wanting to have me play a character that doesn’t have my voice. So my voice is used for Groot and my presence is used for the other character.”

That’s right another Marvel character that doesn’t have a voice (unless he wants to level a city or destroy a planet). Sounds very much like the King of the Inhumans: Black Bolt.

This isn’t the first time that Vin Diesel teases his involvement with the Inhumans film. Back in 2013, Diesel teases about Marvel asking Vin Diesel to play a role for Marvel, but due to Diesel’s busy schedule he couldn’t put all of his focus into the role. Thus, Marvel gave Diesel the Groot role while they patiently wait for him to free his schedule for the OTHER role. A role that he teased again in 2014, with Diesel posting a picture on his Facebook page with the tagline, “Are You Inhuman?”

What do you think of Vin Diesel as the King Black Bolt?

Inhumans rules theaters on July 12, 2019.
