New IMAX Hunger Games poster has a lot of symbolism

It’s the rebels versus the Capitol, or as we see it – Katniss Everdeen versus President Snow.

The new IMAX poster for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 was released today with beautiful artwork with a lot of symbolism – the white Rose representing President Snow bleeding from Katniss’ eye; the Mockingjay flying above the Capitol’s soldiers, and blood over Snow’s roses. If you read the books, you know what’s up. If you have not, you will have a lot to look forward to.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 synopsis:

Realizing the stakes are no longer just for survival, Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) teams up with her closest friends, including Peeta (Josh Hutcherson), Gale (Liam Hemsworth) and Finnick for the ultimate mission. Together, they leave District 13 to liberate the citizens of war-torn Panem and assassinate President Snow, who’s obsessed with destroying Katniss. What lies ahead are mortal traps, dangerous enemies and moral choices that will ultimately determine the future of millions.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 opens in theaters on November 20th.
