Doctor Who: goodbye screwdriver, hello sunglasses!
‘Is the screwdriver officially gone?’
A lot of people have been asking this question since the introduction of the sonic sunglasses from the premiere episode of Doctor Who. When many found out the Doctor ‘misplaced’ his sonic screwdriver (when he actually gave it to the young Davros), people were hysterical and protesting the new wearable technology, even creating a online petition to get rid of it.
100% of Britons miss the sonic screwdriver.

Well… Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat has responded to the outrage and basically is saying: “Deal with it”.
So we may not see it this season, but he did mention we may see the screwdriver again someday. Until then, let Moffat be a little naughty.
Doctor Who airs Saturdays on BBC America/One.
