The Assassin’s Creed movie is moving forward with Michael Fassbender (X-Men: Days of Future Past) and Marion Cotillard (The Dark Knight Rises) starring and Justin Kurzel (Macbeth) directing. According to Deadline, Jeremy Irons (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice) and Brendan Gleeson (Harry Potter, Edge of Tomorrow) will be joining the fight between the Assassins and the Templars.

Gleeson will be playing the father to Fassbender’s Callum Lynch, and Irons will be playing the father to Cotillard’s character.

Before Assassin’s Creed hits theaters, you can see Irons as Alfred Pennyworth in Batman v Superman next year. To Harry Potter fans, Gleeson is known as Mad-Eye Moody. He’s also the father of Donhmal Gleeson, who can be seen in Ex Machina and in the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

This movie isn’t the first time Kurzel, Fassbender and Cotillard have collaborated. They have all worked on Macbeth.

The Assassin’s Creed movie will follow Fassbender as he jumps into the past during the Spanish Inquisition to relive the life of his ancestor, thanks to the Animus technology. He must find out information in order to battle the modern-day Templars.
