New Men in Black trilogy won’t include Will Smith?

During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, producers Walter Parkes and Laurie MacDonald confirmed that Sony Pictures is in development to revive the Men in Black movie franchise. However, it is also likely that Will Smith won’t be involved in the new movie going forward, as his name has not been part of any discussions.

Like the original movies, the “new” Men in Black will be developed as a trilogy. “We’re in the middle of it. It’s very active,” Parkes revealed.

Will Smith played a big role as Agent J when the movie first released back in 1997. Both Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones appeared in all three movies which were directed by Barry Sonnenfeld.

Plus we can’t forget about the song we all tried to dance to back in the late ’90s.
