This weekend hundreds of Twitch streamers will be descending upon San Francisco for the first TwitchCon.

Twitch announced that it will be hosting its own convention dedicated to its streamers back in February, and the time has finally come. The convention will be hosted at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, CA on September 25th-26th. 80+ featured streamers will be in attendance and dozens others are listed on the website.

Much like VidCon – the annual YouTube convention that focuses on fans being able to meet their favorite YouTubers and learn how to improve their own channels, TwitchCon will give the opportunity for fans to meet their favorite streamers and attend panels on improving their own streams.

The exhibitors scheduled range from game developers to gaming peripheral manufacturers. Alienware will be in attendance with their Steam Machine and new Steam controller available to demo. Capcom and Blizzard, two of the major game companies that will be in attendance, will be showing off their latest games. Indie developers like Beatshapers and Super Evil Megacorp, to name a couple, will also be there showing off what they can do.

Since this is the first TwitchCon, it is a little difficult to know what to expect going into it. Based on the roster though, it seems like it will be a fair balance of meeting other broadcasters, learning about improving your own stream, and demoing the new tech and games you can use on your stream. This is shaping up to be an awesome convention. Look out for our TwitchCon recap after the con.
