Jason Statham dissed Marvel movies when he said that anyone could be a Marvel hero. He’s basically not impressed with the action performances by Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, and Chris Hemsworth as Thor. Yeah, you can count him out on appearing in a Marvel film or series in the future.

“I could take my grandma and put her in a cape, and they’ll put her on a green screen, and they’ll have stunt doubles come in and do all the action,” Statham said. “Anybody can do it.”

Mark Ruffalo, who played the Hulk in The Avengers, was the first Marvel actor to give his thoughts on the matter.

“I mean, do you really need to ask that question? It’s Jason Statham,” Ruffalo joked. “He’s like a featherweight. He’s got nothing on me! Clearly.”

During Conan’s show, Paul Bettany, who played Vision in Avengers: Age of Ultron, had some comments about Statham’s acting abilities and suggests getting an acting double.

“If there’s a really, really tricky scene with some very tricky dialogue, one might consider bringing in an acting double for Jason Statham.”
