Former Daily Show’s Jon Stewart will host Sunday’s WWE SummerSlam

Jon Stewart may have close the final chapter in his celebrated run as the host of The Daily Show, but it appears that he may not be done with the squared circle. It has just been announced that Stewart will serve as the host this Sunday at SummerSlam in Brooklyn, New York. Stewart, on more than one occasion, has been publicly open about being a fan and has said in recent years, he and his son have bonded over watching Monday Night RAW.

Earlier this year, Stewart was embroiled in a feud with WWE Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. The war of words resulted in Stewart making a special-guest appearance on WWE, which ended with Stewart giving Rollins a good kick in the grapefruits. On one of Stewart’s final shows, Rollins paid Jon one last visit on behalf of the WWE and gave him a custom Daily Show/ WWE title belt.

There’s no telling what will happen this Sunday on Pay-Per-View as Stephen Amell and Neville take on Stardust and King Barrett; and Brock Lesnar faces The Undertaker. SummerSlam airs live the Barclays Center at 7 p.m. ET/4 PT on WWE Network.
