Fallout Shelter is available for Android today!

After what felt like a lifetime of waiting to play the Bethesda’s mobile game Fallout Shelter and seeing our friends with iPhones rubbing our noses in the radioactive dirt, it is now finally available in the Google Play Store today. The game was announced at this past years E3 and released on iDevices that very night. The game took a different approach to the current trend in mobile free to play and did not integrate pay-wall timers and ridiculous ads like you may be used to seeing in games like Candy Crush or Farmville. In late July it was announced that this game would launch today, but for some reason it didn’t feel real until this morning when the official Fallout Facebook page posted the following update: That S.P.E.C.I.A.L. day is here: Android users can download #FalloutShelter on @GooglePlay

On my phone I went to  the Google Play Store and searched for Fallout Shelter and was unable to find it. If you are in the same boat and need to absolutely have this game right now, all you have to do is visit this URL: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bethsoft.falloutshelter and click install. If your browser is connected to the same Google Account as your phone and you are on WiFi, the download will begin.

So the time of merely fantasizing about what our little Vault Boys and Girls are going to look like is over. Ever since Bethesda brought the house down at E3, gamers have been foaming at the mouth to get their Fallout fix before Fallout 4 launches on November 10th of this year.
