Josh Trank blames Fox for bad Fantastic Four reviews

Fantastic Four officially hits theaters tomorrow (there are some theaters showing the film today) and reviews are pouring in. It is currently at 10% on Rotten Tomatoes, and it is one of the worst reviewed superhero movies to date. (Check out our review here.)

Of course, director Josh Trank wanted to defend himself, and he did so on Twitter at the expense of putting Fox down. However, after posting the tweet, he quickly took it down. You can read it below:

“A year ago I had a fantastic version of this. And it would’ve received great reviews. You’ll probably never see it. That’s reality though.”

Here’s the captured tweet:

So it would seem that Fox had a big hand in changing the director’s vision, leaving Trank’s version out in the dust.

Fantastic Four hits theaters this Friday. Will you be watching the film?

Let’s see how the movie does at the box office this weekend.
