See a glimpse into Final Fantasy XV’s past with new ‘Dawn’ trailer

During Gamescom, Square Enix debuted a new trailer for its upcoming flagship franchise Final Fantasy XV. It takes place 15 years prior to the beginning of the game and sheds some light into the world’s background and history.

Things to note were assault-rifle-wielding soldiers in suits of armor that appear to have been plucked straight out of the medieval era and 1950s cars driving around, all while a young Noctis is resting in the arms of his father, King Regis. 3 giant obscured figures tower over the city, covering it up with their shadows alone. How Square plans on tying together all these different parts into one cohesive world is a mystery to me, and it will hopefully be explained in the story. So far I like what I have seen and played of Final Fantasy XV.

Final Fantasy may have lost some of its luster with its most recent releases; however, this I think has made the fans even hungrier, and graphically it looks stellar. Hopefully everything else follows suit.
