Did Captain America and Agent Carter do the deed?

Captain America: The First Avenger

Happy Hump day, fellow Nerds! Oh, speaking of hump….

During one of the panels at Boston Comic Con, Hayley Atwell was asked one of the questions that many of us probably have been wondering since the First Avenger ever laid eyes (and lips) on the English spy working for the U.S.: Did Peggy and Steve ever have sex?

A female fan at the panel began by mentioning that the relationship between Peggy and Steve was something that felt cut short, due to the crash that supposedly claimed the Captain’s life. As the woman at the microphone stumbled to gather her words and thoughts, causing a few moans from the audience at the time it was taking her to get to her point, the woman finally gathered the courage to ask the question. “What do you think that relationship actually was? Like, were they together? Did they consummate it?” As the crowd roared with laughter and applause, Atwell laughed and said, “That’s what you really want to know!”

“Um, I think so,” Atwell states, obviously appeasing the crowd with what they wanted to hear. “I think they were soulmates, and she was into him when he was skinny Steve, because I think she saw a kindred spirit in someone who had obstacles to overcome.” Comparing Peggy Carter’s blight of being a woman in that time period to Steve’s struggle with his size, Atwell felt that the mutual attraction was on a deeper level that she called a “heart level”.

“But um, yeah. I think they must’ve done it,” Atwell finally says, although she wasn’t too certain, and mentions that she may have to double-check with the aforementioned co-star. “It was a different time, a very traditional time, I don’t know. I’ll have to ask Chris (Evans) what he thinks.”

What do you think? Do you think Captain America and Agent Carter became the “beast with two backs”? Let us know by leaving a comment below!
