Hunger Game’s Sam Claflin might be in new Power Rangers movie

Saban’s live-action reboot of the popular ’90s television series, Power Rangers, has been pretty quiet as of late. A recent rumor indicates that the production has begun the process of casting for the film. Recently Sam Claflin, probably best known for his role in The Hunger Games series as Finnick Odair, sent out a tweet that caught many fans’ attention, and just as quick as it was posted it was promptly removed. The guys over at comicbook.com were quick enough to grab a screenshot before it was taken down.

Now of course this doesn’t confirm anything, but it is suspicious that the actor would act so quickly to remove the post unless there were contract negotiations going on that he was not supposed to speak of it. As we’ve seen in the past, hiccups like these can result in negotiations falling through. It should be interesting to see if Claflin gets the part or not. We’ll just have to wait and see.

If he does join the new Power Rangers film, which Ranger do you think he should be? Let us know in the comments below.
