Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them gets an extended cast list

These past few months have been beautiful for Harry Potter fans all around the world. As you all know, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is approaching its November 2016 release date each and every day. I’m not sure about you, but words cannot describe how absolutely excited I am, so I’m going to quote JK Rowling, “expand the Harry Potter universe.”

A few people have been up in the air as far as casting goes, but so far Eddie Redmayne is playing Newt Scamander and Katherine Waterston will be playing Eddie’s wife, Porpentina. It’s official, that is all.

Recent sources tell us that Ezra Miller (Perks of Being a Wallflower and upcoming film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice) has been in the talks to join the Harry Potter family.

Word says he’ll be playing a character called Kredan, who is a wizard that encounters Scamander in his travels through New York City. I personally think Ezra Miller will do a fantastic job in the role and cannot wait until we get official word that he’s been cast. Unfortunately, we have no idea when that will be.

Other people who are up in the air to be cast including Josh Gad and Michael Cera — both being considered for Newt’s rival, Jacob.

Alison Sudol is also being considered at this time for Queenie, Tina’s younger sister and is apparently a favorite of director David Yates. However, it is still unofficial and no one has been cast as Queenie at this time.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is set to release on November 18, 2016.
