Jurassic World beats Pixar’s Inside Out over the weekend and reigns the box office again


Nothing can stop Jurassic World now. It grossed over $200 million during its opening weekend, and now in its second weekend, it has reigned supreme again with over $100 million. Those are some impressive numbers. It was able to come out on top over Pixar’s Inside Out.

Even though Pixar’s latest came in second place, it still did well with $91 million. That makes it the second biggest opening for Pixar. (Toy Story 3 has the number one honor with a $110.3 million opening back in 2010.) The numbers are even more outstanding when you consider that Inside Out isn’t a sequel.
