It looks iOS users will be getting another treat besides Fallout Shelter this summer. Square Enix confirmed that the original Final Fantasy VII will be coming to iOS.

This will be a direct port of the original game that was released in 1997. Final Fantasy VII follows the adventures of Cloud Strife and his companions as they travel through Midgar to stop the evil Shinra Electric Power Company from draining the planet’s life.

This games was, of course, not designed to be played on mobile, so don’t think that this will be an easy game to play on the go. It takes approximately 45-55 hours or more to complete, especially if you want 100% competition.

An official price was not released, but considering that Final Fantasy VI goes for $15.99, it is expected that VII will be in a similar price range.

Square Enix also announced that an HD remake of Final Fantasy VII has been delayed until December. Check out the full story on the HD remake here.

What do you think about a game of this magnitude being ported to mobile? Will you buy it? Keep the conversation going in the comments below.
