Pokémon Boutique opens in LA for a limited time

L.A. Pokémon fans, the Pokémon Boutique is in town! The Grand Opening and celebration recently took place just this past Saturday on June 6th at the Japan LA store located at 7320 1/2 Melrose Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90046.

Lines streamed around the corner as excited fans waited for hours on end for their chance to get their hands on exclusive Pokémon merchandise! Clothing, mugs, backpacks, plushies, wallets (bought one myself, featuring all 7 Eevee evolutions), belts, and even dog leashes! Many items also sold out, unfortunately, but hopefully more will be shipped over soon!

In addition to that, purchases of $30 or more with at least one item being a Pokémon item will grant you the right to an exclusive Pikachu tote bag!

Plenty of fans even came in Pokémon cosplay!

And of course, what’s a Grand Opening without an after party, right? Those in attendance on the first day also received an invite to the opening night launch party, featuring various designers (such as Japan LA, Onch Movement, and Omocat), celebrity DJ Amy Pham, and Pikachu himself! Lucky fans were able to catch a picture with our favorite electric mouse. Even game director and composer Junichi Masuda was in attendance! Other activities there included nail painting, where you could pick your very own Pokémon nail designs.

They even had a Pocky truck stationed right out front with life-sized, dancing Pokemon performing! Say hello to free boxes of Matcha pocky~

Needless to say, it was a VERY successful–and crowded–opening day with lines forming from opening to close.

Make sure you stop by before July 5th! The Pokémon Boutique is open only June 6th to July 5th, so don’t miss your chance!
