TMNT star Ernie Reyes Jr. suffers severe kidney failure and needs your help

TMNT Ernie Reyes Jr

If you grew up in during the ’80s then you more than likely remember the face of Ernie Reyes Jr. Son of actor and stuntman Ernie Reyes Sr., Ernie followed in his father’s footsteps and made his first feature film debut in The Last Dragon. Ernie would go on to appear alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger in Red Sonja. He was probably best known for his breakout role as Keno in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle II: The Secret of The Ooze. Some may not know that Ernie also worked on the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie as the stunt double for Donatello. Afterwards, he was seen with The Rock in The Rundown and in few episodes of NCIS: Los Angeles. According to a recent report, Ernie is not doing so well health-wise and is in desperate need of your help.

Ernie’s sister Destiny created a Go Fund Me kidney transplant fund for her brother after the actor suffered a kidney failure:

You may know or remember Ernie as a child in Last Dragon and Sidekicks, or as that teenager from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. You may also remember him from The Rundown with “The Rock” or even his most recent star appearance on NCIS: Los Angeles. My brother has spent his entire childhood and adult life fighting in films and television, but now his battle has gone from the screen to reality, fighting for his life.

Regardless of where you have seen or heard of Ernie Reyes Jr., he has impacted peoples’ lives all over the world through his extraordinary performances in television and film. Please be aware that he needs support during this time of need and recovery of his life.

Since then Ernie has been undergoing dialysis treatment three times a week for four hours a day as he waits for a kidney transplant. The procedure is expected to cost $75,000 and the page has currently been able to reach over $15,000.

While there is not much Ernie can do while he waits for a new kidney, he has been vocal on Twitter thanking fans for their support and kind words.
