Mortal Kombat X increases prize pool to over $100,000 in major fighting game tournaments

Mortal Kombat X from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios is one of the most successful Mortal Kombat games to date and has seen a huge rise in players in the last few major fighting game tournaments. Both NetherRealm and WBIE are giving back to the community by increasing the prize pools in a few upcoming majors thanks to the success of the “Blue Steel” Sub-Zero skin DLC,.
So what does the new MKX DLC have to do with the prize pool? Everything, as 100% of the sales made for the DLC is being recycled back into the game, increasing how much of a payout the top eight winners in Mortal Kombat X will receive in many major tournaments which include ESL Mortal Kombat X Pro-LeagueCombo BreakerMCM Comic Con – UK Invitational TournamentCEO and of course the biggest event of them all, EVO .
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has committed to raising prize pools up to $100,000, with EVO getting the largest prize support of $50,000. Of course there are more to be announced but right now it shows how committed Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios are to the eSports scene.
