Emilio Estevez goes nuts on Twitter for Ducks
The Anaheim Ducks won their game 5 last night against the Chicago Blackhawks in a very wild and crazy game. The Ducks’ old coach was cheering them on all game long, kind of. Yes, I’m referring to Emilio Estevez, who played Gordon Bombay from the The Mighty Ducks movies.
Some of the younger fans might not know that the Anaheim Ducks was a Disney movie, The Mighty Ducks. It was about a lawyer having to do community service by coaching a team of kids to play hockey (some could barely skate and play hockey), but he managed to do that while also showing them the meaning of teamwork.
The movie was released in 1992 and a year later The Walt Disney Company was awarded an NHL franchise. From then on the Ducks have won 4 Division Championships, 2 Conference Championships, and 1 Stanley Cup.
Check out Emilio’s tweets from last night. He even called for the famous formation in the movie, The Flying V.
