The Last Ship season 2 premiere is only a month away

The first season finale of The Last Ship left us with a cliffhanger, and now that season 2 is approaching so quickly, TNT seems to be sprucing up their social media to let people know that this coming season will be even better than the first. The Last Ship is a TNT drama that follows a Navy crew on board the USS Nathan James, a guided missile destroyer, in a post-apocalyptic world destroyed by a virus.

“After a global viral pandemic wipes out over 80% of the world’s population, the crew (consisting of 218 men and women) of a lone unaffected U.S. Navy guided missile destroyer, the fictional USS Nathan James (DDG-151), must try to find a cure, to stop the virus and save humanity.”

On the season finale Captain Tom Chandler has discovered that life on the mainland isn’t what he hoped it would be. The new order in charge is doing things in a very unfair way, leading to a terrifying realization and even taking over the USS Nathan James and killing crew members in the process. Now what can the Captain and his crew do to help out not only his family, but the civilians being affected and killed by the new order?

It seems the cast is really getting ready for the show’s premiere as they are currently partaking in Fleet Week NYC
