Chris Pratt on Ghostbusters and Indiana Jones rumors: ‘complete bull****’

Chris Pratt Indy and Ghostbusters

We’ve got some sad news for fans who were looking forward to Chris Pratt joining two of the biggest franchises in movie history. There is no denying that Chris is BIG right now in Hollywood, with the success of Guardians of the Galaxy and Jurassic World releasing just around the corner, and it’s easy to see why other big name franchises would want to pick him up. Within the last few months, his name has been flying around a lot of big projects. He is rumored to be attached to the reboot of Indiana Jones directed by Steven Spielberg along with the new all-male Ghostbusters with Channing Tatum directed by the Russo Brothers. Unfortunately all those rumor are “complete bullshit.”

Chris Pratt talked with GQ Magazine about his upcoming film, Jurassic World, and revealed that many of the films that he was rumored to be attached to were completely untrue.

“No one has ever even spoken to me about that. Never. I’ve even seen Channing a couple times. As far as I know, that’s complete bullshit. Knight Rider—bullshit. All of them.”

The Jurassic World star says he also heard about the rumor of being attached to a new Indiana Jones film, but like us, as far as he heard was that his name was brought up by someone up high in Disney when they acquired the rights to the franchise. Chris even revealed that while he worked on Jurassic World with Steven Spielberg, a new Indiana Jones film was never mentioned once during the production by the director.

“I just didn’t bring it up and he didn’t bring it up, so I don’t know. It’d be cool. No one’s called me.”

Even Guardians director and close friend James Gunn said in an earlier interview that he thought the Indiana Jones rumor “seemed like complete bullshit.”

According to Chris his plate is already plenty full with the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel along with a few other Marvel commitments. There is a rumor that he, along with the rest of the Guardians, will join the fight against Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War. Let’s not forget that if Jurassic World does well, there will be sequels. So I think it is safe to say that we shouldn’t expect Chris to be cracking any whips or throwing on a Proton Pack anytime soon.
