When it comes to superhero action, the movies are your best bet for some impressive visuals involving mighty heroes battling villains; for example, Superman vs. General Zod in Man of Steel and the Avengers team battling Loki and the Chitauri in The Avengers. TV is coming up real close, as we get to see The Flash speed through Central City on the CW and Daredevil battling the Kingpin on Netflix.

With Supergirl premiering on CBS, expect to see some more crazy visuals. Co-showrunner Greg Berlanti (Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow) told Variety that the show will invest heavily in the visual effects. DC’s Geoff Johns  says that the money will be spent in a wise manner.

“When people see the pilot, they’ll be blown away by what’s accomplished on television,” Berlanti said.

Check out the trailer here to get a tease on some of the special effects.

Supergirl premieres in November and will air Mondays at 8 p.m. PT/ET.
