James Gunn on Joss Whedon leaving Twitter
Joss Whedon left the Twitter universe, and many were surprised about his decision. Maybe he was tired of maintaining an account. However, one of our writers, Alger, believes that he left due to the amount of negativity directed towards him including death threats. Why the hate? Because they think didn’t like Black Widow’s portrayal in Avengers: Age of Ultron because she was held captive and had a romantic relationship with Bruce Banner. Chronicle writer Max Landis chimed in, saying that the people calling him a misogynist are “dumb pieces of shit.”
Now we have Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn joining in on the discussion.
Most of you are aware of this, but anyone who urges a filmmaker to kill himself over a movie plot point needs to seriously examine his life.

As fans it's our duty to take what we don't love with what we do & accept not everything will play out onscreen as we imagined.
