Adam Driver is Kylo Ren in Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Kylo Ren was a mysterious figure who we first saw in the first trailer trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Now we know which actor is going to portray the bad guy, thanks to Vanity Fair.

Adam Driver, who can be seen in HBO’s Girls, will be playing Kylo Ren, the crossguard lightsaber-wielding villain. We even get a picture of him as the character without his mask.

He will be in command of the First Order, and their secret hideout will be located on an ice planet. Yes, the snowtroopers are back with a new look (as you can see above).

We’ve seen many humans in the teaser trailers (and a droid and Wookiee), but not much on other aliens. Well, here’s good news. Lupita Nyong’o will be playing Maz Kanata, a CGI alien pirate who will be created by ILM.

It’s known that Oscar Isaac’s Poe Dameron would be piloting an X-Wing, and now we know he is working for the Resistance, the new version of the Rebel Alliance from the original trilogy.

The teaser article also had a photo of composer John Williams, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy, screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan and director J.J. Abrams.
