Daybreak, formerly SOE, is online

Formerly owned by Sony, Sony Online Entertainment has since become Daybreak. Despite a few layoffs, much of their projects and staff remain as part of the whole. With a new parent company, they have also established a new logo and website to accompany the shift. John Smedley maintains his role as the captain of this vessel, traversing the online gaming realm with H1Z1, EverQuest, DC Universe Online, and Planetside 2, still in its cargo hold.

It is stated in Smed’s Community Letter early last week that they would be moving away from their San Diego location to an undisclosed area this fall. In the meantime, check out their new website at https://www.daybreakgames.com for further updates on their current titles and new games slated to be revealed later this year.
