Power Rangers movie pushed back to 2017


Lionsgate has announced that it has recently made changes to the release dates of its upcoming films. One of them is the Power Rangers movie, and that will be pushed back from July 22, 2016, to January 13, 2017. (That’s about 6 months back.) Check out the rest of the updated release dates.

La La Land, under Summit Entertainment and starring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone, will be taking the month of July, with a release date of July 15, 2016. The movie is written and directed by Damien Chazelle (Whiplash).

Synopsis: From Summit Entertainment. In this modern take on the Hollywood musical from Damien Chazelle, the Academy Award-nominated writer and director of WHIPLASH, Sebastian (Ryan Gosling) and Mia (Emma Stone) are drawn together by their common desire to do what they love. But as success mounts they are faced with decisions that begin to fray the fragile fabric of their love affair, and the dreams they worked so hard to maintain in each other threaten to rip them apart.

American Ultra will be coming out on August 21, 2015, and will star Kristen Stewart, Jesse Eisenberg, Walton Goggins, Connie Britton, Bill Pullman, Topher Grace, Tony Hale. It’s directed by Nima Nourizadeh (Project X) and written by Max Landis (Chronicle).

Synopsis: A stoner and his girlfriend’s sleepy, small-town existence is disrupted when his past comes back to haunt him in the form of a government operation set to wipe him out.

Criminal, under Summit Entertainment, will be pushed back from August 21, 2015, to January 22, 2016.

Dirty Grandpa will be moved up from August 12, 2016, to February 26, 2016.

Gods of Egypt, under Summit Entertainment, will be pushed back from February 12, 2016, to April 8, 2016.
