Walt Disney Pictures previously announced that the live-action Ghost in the Shell starring Scarlett Johansson was going to be in theaters on April 14, 2017. Now the company has revealed that the DreamWorks Pictures project’s release date has been moved up to March 31, 2017.

The movie will be directed by Rupert Sanders, who directed Snow White and the Huntsman and the Halo ODST ad.

Ghost in the Shell follows Major Kusanagi and her team as they fight cyber-terrorism. Will the movie stay close to the manga or anime? Only time will tell.

The movie’s script is written by William Wheeler. Avi Arad and Steven Paul are producing.
