Mighty No. 9 delayed until September, plus partners with Deep Silver

mighty-no-9-1While many fans and kickstarter backers were expecting Comcept’s Mighty No. 9 to release by the end of spring, Comcept announced that the game will not be released until September 15th in North America and in Europe on September 18th.

This might sound like bad news, but it isn’t. Comcept revealed that they have partnered with Deep Silver, which gives them the opportunity to improve the game and add even more content.

“First and foremost, Comcept maintains total creative control over the Mighty No. 9 IP, both for this game and for any future titles. Partnering with Deep Silver has given us the resources to add even more content to our dream project, and help out with publicity and marketing so the developers can stay focused on making a great game,” stated Compcept in an FAQ.

Thanks to the new deal with Deep Silver, the much talked about Ray DLC will be included in both the digital and physical copies which includes one new stage and a new boss which will be selectable once completed. Fans will be able to select between the English, Japanese and French voice acting, as well as French, Italian, German, Spanish, Russian, Polish, or Portuguese subtitles.

Mighty No. 9 is in development for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PS Vita, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Steam, Mac, Linux, Wii U, and Nintendo 3DS. The digital versions of the game will retail for $19.99, and the physical copies will retail for $29.99.
