Ian McKellen cast as Cogsworth in upcoming Beauty and the Beast film

As if the cast wasn’t already amazing, Disney’s new live-action Beauty and the Beast film has added Ian McKellen to its list.

Mr. Gandalf will be playing Cogsworth, the proper English clock that’s always reminding everyone to not get into trouble. However, as a human, he plays the Prince’s butler.

Also in the cast we have Emma Watson to play Belle, Josh Gad to play Le Fou, Luke Evans as Gaston, Dance Stevens as the Beast, and Audra McDonald as Garderobe. Bill Condon is set to direct the 2017 masterpiece. What an amazing team we’ve got going here.

I know we’re all thinking about it; Ian McKellen in a clock costume. But, I’m genuinely curious as to how we’ll get to see the objects in the house come to life. Voice overs? Animation? Who knows. I do know that I can’t wait until 2017 to see it!
