Project X Zone 2 to add a new company to the mix?

Even though Idea Factory International CEO Harusato Akenaga was unable to attend the inaugural press event recently, he did have a message for all those attending. It started off with a normal apology for not being able to attend and ended by thanking the loyal fans for supporting them throughout the years.

However throughout the note, there was a small mention of reasoning behind his inability to attend and dealing with something with Bandai Namco. With the Hyperdimension characters’ recent growth in popularity, Idea factory is branching out to other genres with new IPs, and with Bandai Namco’s newest announcement of Project X Zone 2, it seems likely to me that we may see some of our favorite goddesses jumping into the fray.

Check out the trailer for Project X Zone 2 in case you missed. It showcases the characters, story, and the teams involved.

The Goddesses of HyperDimension fit right into the theme for the upcoming title and will have iconic characters, over-the-top weapons and abilities, and even fit into certain common anime character tropes. I’ve heard whispers about wanting another company being added to the mixture for the Project X Zone sequel.

Now keep in mind that this is all pure speculation from my own personal hopes for new things to be added to this amazing crossover title. I could go on forever naming other iconic characters and companies like Atlus, NIS, or even Nintendo I’d like to see added into the mix, but until I see a trailer or announcement for new additions, I will just keep on hoping and wishing.

What do you think about this possibility, and if you could add one company’s iconic characters into the mix for the sequel, who would you like to see?
