Wonder Woman to be helmed by Patty Jenkins, ex-Thor: The Dark World director

According to reports, Warner Bros. and director Michelle MacLaren (Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad) didn’t see eye to eye with each other. This resulted in her leaving the project. In just a couple of days, the company already hired a new director, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Since it’s clear that WB is looking for a female director to capture a female superhero, it picked up Patty Jenkins, who was originally supposed to direct Thor: The Dark World. The irony is that Jenkins left Marvel Studios due to creative differences, which led to Game of Thrones‘ Alan Taylor taking over.

Gal Gadot will star as Wonder Woman, and we’ll be seeing her first in Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The trailer is going to premiere on Monday, April 20th. The Wonder Woman solo film will be coming June 23, 2017.
