Square Enix reveals Star Ocean 5: Integrity and Faithlessness

In 2009 Square Enix and Tri-Ace released Star Ocean: The Last Hope for the Xbox 360, and the following year it was released on the PlayStation 3 under the title Star Ocean: The Last Hope International that had less-than-stellar reviews. Since then fans have wondered what lied beyond the stars for the series and Square Enix and Tri-Ace revealed the newest game in the Star Ocean series called Star Ocean 5: Integrity and Faithlessness.

While not releasing much information on the game, Square Enix released a trailer that looks at the chronological order of the series starting with Star Ocean: The Last Hope, which takes place in Space Date 10, leading up to Star Ocean: Till the End of Time, which takes place on Space Date 772, with the Star Ocean 5 taking place on Space Date 537.

So far the only information released on the upcoming title is that our main characters name is Fidel Camus, who will be joined by his childhood friend Miki Sorvesta and a young girl named Lilia, who has somehow lost her feelings and memories.

If you weren’t a fan of The Last Hope like many, Tri-Ace commented that the game will have a feel of the original Star Ocean games and be a game new and old fans can enjoy.

Star Ocean 5: Integrity and Faithlessness will be developed for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 with a TBA date.
