Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige has confirmed some juicy details about Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. One of them includes the wall crawler being a young Peter Parker attending high school. Since we already have two Spider-Man movies giving us an origin story, Feige has revealed to Crave Online during the Avengers: Age of Ultron press event that the next solo Spider-Man film by Sony and Marvel will have an established Spider-Man, along with the costume already being designed.

For the costume, Feige says that he likes Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man outfit over Marc Webb’s version. However, the new one will be different while also being a classic.

“We’ve already designed the costume, which is different than any of the ones that have come before,” Feige said. “And yet ours is classic Spidey, as I think you’ll see.”

Feige on Spider-Man movie not being an origin story.

“It will not be an origin story,“ Feige responded. “But, with great power comes great responsibility. It is inherent to who his character is. But we want to reveal it in different ways and spend much more time focusing on this young high school kid in the MCU dealing with his powers.”

He also admits that Spider-Man is already in action in the MCU.

“There is a young kid [already] running around New York City in a homemade version of the Spider-Man costume in the MCU, you just don’t know it yet.”

Marvel and Sony’s solo Spider-Man film hits theaters on July 28, 2017.
