Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 confirmed

For quite some time now there has been speculation over the title of the next Call of Duty game. Rumors and supposed leaked ads claimed that the next installment into the series would be Call of Duty: World at War II. It was revealed that the next game will in fact be the third installment in the Black Ops franchise.

Reports first came out after someone sifted through Call of Duty’s official site’s source code and found details about the game:

“Black Ops 3 is the first title for next-gen hardware in the critically acclaimed Black Ops series. Developed by Treyarch, the award-winning creator of the two most-played games in Call of Duty history. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 deploys players into a dark, twisted future where a new breed of Black Ops soldier emerges and the lines are blurred between our own humanity and the technology we created to stay ahead, in a world where cutting-edge military robotics define warfare. With three unique game modes: Campaign, Multiplayer and Zombies, providing fans with the deepest and most ambitious Call of Duty ever.”

Treyarch later confirmed this by posting a new video teaser is titled “Back in Black” that featured many quotes from characters in the previous two games. Also the “III” in the video is in the same style as the Black Ops II logo.

The video claims that there will be a big reveal on the 26th later this month. You check out the full video below.
