The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to have 2 huge expansions

witcher 3 expansion pass

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt isn’t out yet, but it’s never too late to announce upcoming expansions for the open world RPG fantasy action game starring Geralt of Rivia.

The game’s development is coming to a close, and this means the CD Projekt RED team will continue to create more adventures for the Witcher world via two big expansions. Fans will have to pay for these, but CD PROJEKT RED co-founder Marcin Iwiński said, “It will be vast in size and represent real value for the money. Both our expansions offer more hours of gameplay than quite a few standalone games out there.”

The Hearts of Stone Expansion will have over 10 hours of gameplay as Geralt travels to No Man’s Land and Oxenfurt to finish a contract from the mysterious Man of Glass.

The Blood and Wine Expansion will have over 20 hours of gameplay as Geralt traverses a new region of Toussaint, a land untainted by war. The carefree attitude and the knightly rituals hide a dark and bloody secret.

The Expansion Pass is now available to pre-order and will include new adventures, gear, characters and enemies.

Hearts of Stone will be available in October and Blood and Wine in the first quarter of 2016. Both expansions will be on the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
