Furious 7 has biggest April opening


The Fast and the Furious series has become a huge blockbuster for Universal. The latest film, Furious 7, has already made $384 million worldwide, with $143 million for the domestic opening weekend and $240 for international.

The film has broke some domestic records, including biggest opening in April, biggest opening for the franchise, and the ninth largest domestic opening of all time.

The film had a balanced audience, with men attending at 51%. Overall 56% were over the age of 25. The Hispanics contributed to 37% of the crowd.

China, Russia and Japan have yet to release the film, which we’ll see in the coming weeks.
