Nintendo’s booth at WonderCon was jam packed full of games to play, including the full version of Xenoblade Chronicles 3D, Puzzle & Dragons Z + Puzzle & Dragons Super Mario Bros, and a demo of the upcoming Splatoon game. But, the amiibo display case was probably the booth’s biggest draw.

Inside the display cases, ww saw most of the Super Smash Bros. amiibo and Mario Party line on the bottom row, but the top row shows off what most fans have lost lots of sleep over the last two days, sitting in front of their computers.

IMG_2813During the Nintendo direct, Nintendo announced the Splatoon amiibo line would be released alongside the game on May 29th. They also mentioned that a very cute Yoshi amiibo made of yarn would be released alongside the upcoming Yoshi Woolly World for the Nintendo Wii U.

IMG_2811The upcoming Super Smash Bros. wave 4 amiibo line was also present in the display cases, which included Pac-Man, Lucina, Robin, Wario, and Charizard (which will be available in all North America retailers).

Ness, a Gamestop exclusive, was on display. But, absent from the display case was Greninja, which was confirmed as a Toys ‘R’ Us exclusive, and Jigglypuff, which will be released as a Target exclusive. All eight amiibos launch on May 29th.

If you are attending WonderCon this weekend, make sure to bring your amiibo with you. Nintendo will be holding an amiibo tournament where the winner can win the rare Golden Mario amiibo (which will be a Wal-Mart exclusive).

Check out Nintendo at WonderCon at Booth 1440.
