Fans anticipating the upcoming Legend of Zelda game for the Wii U will now have to wait until 2016, after a special announcement video was released by Nintendo from Legend of Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma.

Originally planned for 2015, Aonuma stated that since the team has been able to play around with an open world game and so many possibilities, they wanted to create a game that can fully take advantage of the development team’s ideas and make them a reality by creating a game that surpasses his own expectations. To create the ultimate adventure means the team needs more time. So while there is no new target release for the game, we can expect to see the game sometime in 2016.
