Latest Halo 5: Guardians teaser brands Master Chief as a traitor

Well, well, well. Microsoft has just released a brand new teaser trailer for Halo 5: Guardians and it definitely tells us a lot about the direction of the new Halo game. The bullet in the teaser clearly says “traitor” written on it as it’s spiraling towards Master Chief’s helmet.

If you recently played The Master Chief Collection, you would’ve noticed new cutscenes included with Halo 2. In these scenes, we are introduced to a brand new Spartan named Agent Locke. Locke, as it turns out, is there to hunt down Master Chief and bring him home. I guess the UNSC doesn’t like it when their soldiers go AWOL like that. Go figure. In addition to the teaser trailer, a Tumblr page was launched featuring a countdown ticker on the page that will end tomorrow night. Could a brand new trailer be on the way? Stay tuned tomorrow.
