The next Dragon Ball Z movie, Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’, is set to start playing in theaters across Japan starting April 18th, but Funimation announced its plans that will make fans in Los Angeles excited to be the some of the first to watch the movie, a week before it is even released in Japan.

Funimation has already licensed the film and will be holding the North American premiere of the movie on April 11th at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood in collaboration with Toei Animation. The movie will feature the original Japanese voices complete with English subtitles, but fans outside of LA won’t have to wait too long as Funimation has announced plans to start releasing the movie with English voices this summer in theaters.

Directed by Tadayoshi Yamamuro who has worked on many of the previous DragonBall Z movies, the new film sees the return of one of DragonBall Z’s most fearsome enemies, Frieza, as he seeks revenge against Goku after returning to life and will feature music from Maximum The Hormone, with pop idol group Momoiro Clover Z performing the movie’s theme song.

You can get more information as well as order tickets via the Funimation website.
