Avengers: Age of Ultron predicted to open with $217 million
The first Avengers film made over $1.5 billion worldwide, making it the third highest-grossing film of all time. Its opening weekend gross was $207 million, making it the number-one movie with the biggest opening weekend in the States. With Avengers: Age of Ultron coming out in less than 2 months, it’s already expected to beat its predecessor. According to Bloomberg’s report, BoxOffice.com predicts that the domestic opening for the second film will be estimated at $217 million.
The site said that “the number and intensity of positive posts have been the strongest Boxoffice.com researchers have seen for any movie since they started monitoring the site.”
Will it be profitable for Disney though? The budget is higher and the cost for talent has increased.
Do you think Avengers: Age of Ultron will beat the first movie’s record when it premieres on May 1, 2015?
