Director James Gunn of Guardians of the Galaxy and the upcoming sequel did a Q&A on his official Facebook answering many fan’s questions. Gunn would not reveal much about what is in store for the highly anticipated sequel, but he did reveal that he would love to tackle doing another Marvel movie with another character. Namely Squirrel Girl.

“I love her so much. I’d love to do a Squirrel Girl movie.”

The idea may not be that far-fetched. Last year in July, Bleeding Cool reported that Marvel had filed a trademark for the name to be used in a cartoon, TV or film. She later appeared in two episodes of Disney XD’s animated series, Ultimate Spider-Man.

While many unfamiliar fans may laugh off her character at first glance, she has defeated some of the major Marvel characters like Dr. Doom, Deadpool and even Thanos.

In fact, when Powers and A.K.A Jessica Jones writer Brian Michael Bendis announced at New York Comic-Con in 2010 that Squirrel Girl would be the new nanny for The Avengers Mansion in New Avengers comic, the reaction from the crowd was so loud that he thought Stan Lee had walked into the panel.

While it may seemed far-fetched, stranger things have happened. After all, there is a movie about a man with the power of ants coming out this year.
