Five Nights at Freddy’s: Springtrap is still alive!

Earlier this week, reports were coming out that many believe Scott Cawthon posted a new image that spelled the end of the Five Nights at Freddy’s series. The third installment into the franchise ties up many of the loose ends made from the previous games.

Now a new image is making its way around the internet that appears to show the nightmare is not over.

Warning: Spoilers beyond this point.

Upon completing Nightmare Mode, the game gives you an image of a newspaper clipping that says the new Halloween attraction has burned to the ground due to “faulty wiring.”

IT BURNS! Fazbear’s Fright burns to the ground! A new local attraction based on an ancient pizzeria chain burned down overnight. Authorities have not ruled out foul play, but at the moment it seems to have been caused by faulty wiring. Very little was found at the scene. The few items that were salvaged will be sold at public action.

While it may seem like nothing much at first, changing the brightness to the picture reveals a very disturbing sight hidden in the background.

Springtrap still lives!

Given how players had to achieve the “Good Ending,” I don’t think we will ever see Freddy and friends ever again since the souls of the murdered children are now at rest. Springtrap, however, may never be allowed to rest since he was the cause of all this in the first place.

This does also connect to the first teaser trailer Scott released for the game also. Two of the first title screens read “He will come back. He always does.” Only time will tell when Springtrap returns.

Five Nights at Freddy’s 3 is currently available on PC and Android.
