NSFW version of gritty Power Rangers fan film is back online!

power-rangers-shortYou asked for it and your voices have been heard! Despite the disapproval of both Saban and Jason David Frank, the violent Power Rangers short has finally been posted back online after being taking down at the request of the creators of the beloved superhero sentai show.

According to the film’s director, the filmmakers and Saban Entertainment had come to an agreement that would allow them to share the NSFW version of the video once again. Producer Adi Shankar revealed that the video was taken down Thursday because Saban wanted a disclaimer on the video so that kids wouldn’t confuse his violent short with the family-friendly TV show.

They put these disclaimers on so kids so don’t confuse our super-violent film with their Power Rangers brand. There are no hard feelings. We signed contracts. We can play it anywhere we want on all platforms. I think they realized that people just want to see it.

Before the original video was taken down, it amassed over 12 million view. You can watch the NSFW version below.
